BASEBALL MAGAZINE Collection

Baseball Magazine was the premier monthly publication dealing with baseball during the first half of the 20th century. It began publishing in May, 1908 with an initial circulation of 20,000 copies of the first issue, reaching its peak in the 1930s at more than 500,000 copies each month. The last complete year of production was in 1952, with less than 12 issues per year from 1953-1957, and a few more issues in 1964 and 1965.

This offering is a large collection of somewhat lesser condition, duplicate examples that were part of the Baseball Magazine collection in our February, 2012 auction. It should be noted that the earlier issues were printed with covers somewhat larger than the actual pages, so there is always evidence of wear at the edges. All issues are complete with front and back covers intact unless noted.
